These 3 tips will make you feel more confident in posing women for a fashion photoshoot.
The best tip for making a feel model feel comfortable is telling them what to do with their hands. Often times hands can look awkward in images if the model doesn’t know what to do with them. I like to have my model touch their face, arm, pocket, hat, hair, etc. As you can see in these photos, the hands create a lot of interest. Next, I like to incorporate movement. Having your model rotate their weight from front to back is one of my favorites. Lastly, encourage your model to look in different directions. Although getting images where the model is looking directly at the camera are good to get, having some candid shots will make your fashion photography feel more real.
